About
Citizen Academy grants were used to launch a short-term (up to 3-months) free educational program for residents to learn how their local government works, meet their local elected and staff officials, and learn about opportunities for engagement, with the end goal of citizen engagement. Citizen academies offered an overview of government functions, or be limited to one local government function such as planning, economic development, or public safety. All funding for Citizen Academies is expended.
